“THE RIO YAQUI”
The Rio Yaqui winds its way through the hills of central Sonora Mexico. It originates from the Rio Papigochic, tumbles down the Sierra Madres, and encounters the Rio Bavispe and the RioMoctezuma. These rivers collectively form the Rio Yaqui. Just two hours east of Hermosillo, we will meet up with our guides from CAIMAN EXPEDITIONS in the tiny pueblo of Novillo.This will be our “Put In”. We will raft all day to the Pueblo of Soyopa. Our Guides have years of experience on the rivers of Mexico and have an extensive knowledge of the local flora and fauna. After a long day on the river nothing works better than our famous Rio Yaqui Sake. Enjoy some of the best camp cooking prepared by our staff. We take care of every thing from our Put in until you leave for your return trip.
